Safety & Security
At Ivy Country Adventures, the safety and well-being of our campers is our top priority. It starts with an intensive background check process for all camp personnel and staff. We retain experienced former federal law enforcement personnel to conduct all background checks. All staff are certified in CPR and receive Basic First Aid training.
We also ensure safety through a comprehensive security program that includes private security personnel consisting of former federal law enforcement accompanying our groups on all trips. When necessary and depending on location, we also retain additional local security personnel (e.g., an off-duty police officer).
Our dedicated security team is trained to handle a wide range of situations, providing constant oversight and support as campers explore new destinations. When necessary and depending on the adventure, we utilize the latest technology to actively track the location of all campers. In addition, for our overnight campers, we provide a dedicated “Hotline” phone number where they can call and report any security or other concerns anonymously.
All campers and parents receive a security briefing prior to overnight travel where we can address any questions or concerns about a given trip.
This proactive approach ensures that our teens can fully enjoy their travel experiences in a secure and controlled environment, allowing parents to have peace of mind knowing their children are well-protected throughout the journey.
